Cheating Husband Catches Coronavirus While on A Romantic Trip To Italy With His Mistress

In a moment of karmic justice, an unfaithful spouse contracts the deadly coronavirus during one of his cheating escapades. Having an extramarital affair is messy, now factor in a global pandemic and you get a crazed husband scared to death about his marriage and his health.

Karma – 1, Adulterer – 0

A UK husband took what was meant to be a romantic trip to Italy with his mistress. The romantic getaway has now turned into “blind panic” as the man has contracted the coronavirus.

The man in his 30s who is described as “well-heeled and with a high-flying job” came clean to the doctors in the United Kingdom after he began showing the symptoms of the virus. His unsuspecting wife thinks he went on a business trip and was somehow exposed to the virus. [1]

Oh well, it’s just the consequences of his actions

According to a source, “This patient is the talk of public health officials. His case will be funny if it wasn’t quite so serious.” Although to be honest, it is very funny… or at least, it’ll be in a couple of years when the pandemic goes away.

The man is more worried about his marriage falling apart than his health. “He thought he had the perfect alibi to carry out his affair, but hadn’t reckoned on the coronavirus meltdown. The patient is just relieved he got home before flights were canceled — that would have taken some explaining,” added the source.

It’s just a pity that the innocent wife has to go through this sort of trauma simply because her husband made a stupid decision.

As for the mistress, there’s no information on her, but it is highly possible that she also caught the virus. According to the man, “nothing would persuade him to name his mistress”… not that anyone cares.

Fortunately for him, he is expected to make a full recovery. And the wife is currently in self-isolation at home in the north of England.

Italy has been the worst-hit country in Europe so far

This adulterous husband managed to get out of Italy before it was locked down, only to become another statistic in the United Kingdom. In Italy, a nationwide lockdown was implemented on March 9.

However, it seems the efforts are not paying off in curbing the spread of the virus. As of March 26, there were 80,589 cases of coronavirus with a death toll of 8,215 in Italy. [2]

This is as opposed to the 11,658 cases confirmed in the UK. Also, in the UK, the death toll has risen to 578 since the outbreak began. [3]

Efforts to stop the virus in its tracks

Italy seemed to have things under control at first. They isolated the initial carriers of the disease who came in from China, traced their contacts, and even cut transport links with China.

According to the Italian Prime Minister, Giuseppe Conte, “The system of prevention put into place by Italy is the most rigorous in Europe.”

Unfortunately for them, they had failed to notice the circulation of the virus in some parts of the country. This just proves how easily the virus can spread if the appropriate measures are not put in place. [4]

The easiest measures for stopping the virus include social distancing and self-isolation

Social distancing is implemented to cut down all non-essential contacts to prevent the spread of the virus. It entails staying at least two meters (6.5 feet) away from other people at any given time.

Self-isolation on the other hand, is a precaution taken by people who show symptoms of the virus so as not to spread it to others.

Here are a few ways you can practice social distancing

  1. Stay at home and only go out when necessary
  2. Keep a distance of at least two meters from other people
  3. Avoid physical contact with people
  4. Avoid crowds and public gatherings [5]

It seems rather simple but people are having a hard time adhering to it. For instance, some spring breakers are going about their days as if nothing has changed.

There were several of them recently seen in Florida completely undeterred by the threat of COVID-19.

If I get corona, I get corona. At the end of the day, I’m not going to let it stop me from partying,” said spring break goer Brady Sluder in Miami. And many others shared his sentiments. [6]

Not only that, but several other people feel as if the quarantine is some sort of solitary confinement and find ways to kick against it. This could be as a result of ignorance or just plain old selfishness.

Also, they’re probably waiting until they see people turning into zombies before they take the pandemic seriously.

Irrespective of these people, the virus is no respecter of age or social status. Whether you are a celebrity, a politician, a business mogul, or a homeless person, if you don’t put in the appropriate measures to protect yourself, you will not only contract the disease, but also you will infect other people.

That said, implement social distancing protocols being put in place now. Your hygiene should be top-notch right now. There is only so much hand sanitizers can do. Do not forget about washing your hands with soap and water.

If you develop any symptoms, seek out medical help and be sure to isolate yourself from others. Stay safe during these trying times. Eventually, it will pass, and slowly but surely, the world will heal.
