Parents Discovers Kid’s Teacher Buses to Work, so They Bought Her a Car

As a child, do you remember the first time seeing your teacher outside the walls of your school? For many kids, that was a weird experience! *Cue the Twilight Zone theme song…* You may have waved and said hi because your mom or dad forced you to, or simply turned a blind eye in the grocery aisle.

That might have even been what Courtney Adeleye would have done as child, but this time was different. When she discovered that her children’s teacher would catch multiple buses to make it to school, Adeleye had an idea…

How Courtney Adeleye Paid It Forward

“When my husband tells me that the teacher who has been teaching my girls for the last few years has been catching multiple buses to get to and from work everyday in the hot sun and cold,” Adeleye wrote in an Instagram post caption. “He said we should give her something I said… say no more!”

Adeleye’s reponse was not out of the ordinary either. As someone with an extremely high reputation who values philanthropy, this humble act of kindness and generosity was a no-brainer for the CEO of The Mane Choice, a million-dollar hair company.

Just like that, Adeleye went out and bought brand new car, wrapped in a pretty blue bow and presented it to her 11-year-old daughter’s teacher.

“Are you serious? You’re really serious?” was the teacher’s initial reaction.

“We don’t want you to have to catch the bus,” replied Adeleye.

Needless to say, the beyond-grateful teacher was speechless. But, speechless or not, Adeleye wasn’t looking for praise.

“When you ask me to define success… this is my response! (Give to those without expectations.) All glory to GOD!”

The Best Part?

Hearing how excited the teacher was…

“No more sitting in the cold, no more riding the bus, no more waiting on somebody to come and pick me up – no more of any of those things.”
